About the Role As the Sr Tax Manager you will direct the day to day work of a center of Tax expertise in the organization, create value through providing coaching and development for team members, and act as a Subject Matter Expert for the function becoming the go-to person for tax related strategies.
In the role of Sr Tax Manager, you will be located at our Manufacturing Campus in the Industrial Park El Marqués, in Querétaro.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Recommend ways to integrate Tax services with organizational initiatives Oversee and ensure compliance with applicable policies, guidelines, regulations, etc
- Ensure conformance and compliance with all regulatory tax requirements for assigned centers of expertise
- Create/Design COE policies and procedures
- Identify changes and trends in regional tax laws and tax policies and proactively leverage capabilities to capitalize on those trends
- Design and develop tactics and processes in support of tax function strategic initiatives for assigned centers of expertise and ensure the continuous implementation and improvement of these tactics and processes
- Advise VP Tax/Director of Tax of potential impact and/or opportunities of tax law changes, court decisions, and new tax guidance
- Determine how new technology can be incorporated into assigned COE
- Maintain strong relationships with operations, sales, product development, and all functional teams to ensure effective alignment and delivery of tax value
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS/MBA) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related fields
- 10 years of work experience
- 5 years of experience as Tax Manager
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred
- Have worked with US corporate offices
- Project management experience preferred
- Advanced English
