Fuel Supply Sales Manager -Fuel Sales Experience Required
SUMMARY
The Fuel Sales Manager is primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic regional accounts resulting in maximum profitability and volume, and securing new business through both inside and outside sales efforts in designated markets. On a daily basis, the position will involve working with our suppliers to ensure adequate allocations are in place, pricing and negotiating with bulk customers to secure their business, and actively working to get deliveries executed as required. Additionally, the position will be responsible for managing our delivered tankwagon business portfolio. This includes maintaining our current customer base, identifying new opportunities with our Lubricants division and inside/outside sales, identifying and negotiating contractual supply, and coordinating daily delivery execution. This position will require independent work and cross-divisional teamwork with multiple support and operating divisions. The Fuel Sales Manager will have volume, margin and credit targets. This position will also support various internal divisions through research, business activity, systems support as well as special as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY: (*denotes an essential function of the position)

*Manage regional customer portfolio to optimize supply, allocations, profitability, volume, and receivables
*Implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve account growth
*Research and identify new business opportunities for growth
*Maintain current tankwagon delivery business through supply maintenance and daily delivery execution.
*Grow tankwagon business through collaboration with the Lubricants division as well as inside/outside sales.
*Identify and procure new bulk Commercial customers with proper credit approval.
*Monitor and enforce Wallis credit policies and customer limits.
*Utilize CRM as part of the sales process
*Analyze daily vendor pricing, develop Wallis pricing, process and disseminate nightly pricing to customers.
*Forecast daily, weekly and monthly allocation requirements as needed.
*Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices.
*Perform other Duties not listed as required.
*Understand and drive achievement of Company Balanced Scorecard metrics and other key performance indicators.
Communication
*Provide timely communication of customer orders and supply sourcing to the Transport division as necessary.
*Communicate with customers on a routine basis to meet needs and expectations.
*Communicate as required by customer need with tankwagon fuel vendors and tank procurement vendors regarding account maintenance, problem resolution and new site implementation
*Adjust content of sales/customer service discussions based on customer type and needs.
*Ensure professional and effective communication, both written and verbal, with customer, suppliers, vendors, and co-workers.
*Prepares written, visual and verbal presentations as needed in a manner appropriate to communicate to the audience
Customer Service Orientation
*Investigate and rectify all customer billing inquiries as appropriate.
*Maintain relationships with clients providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; and recommending profit and service improvements.
*Handle customer meetings/discussions in an ethical, professional and efficient manner.
*Complete supplier and customer site visits as required.
Developing Talent
*Identify both internal and external on-the-job training needs and share with supervisors.
*Complete training as required to meet regulatory compliance and company guidelines.
*Attend training to further develop both technical and soft skills.
*Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies, etc…
*Promote team development, enthusiasm and pride.
Technical Expertise
*Monitor competition by gathering current Marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery information, etc…
*Provide technical assistance to accounts as needed.
*Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
*Adhere to all Wallis Company safety policies and report all safety incidents to supervisor immediately.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
This position has no direct reports.

Education: Required: Education equivalent to Associate’s Degree
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
Experience: *Preferred: 3+ years of experience in sales or account management; preferred experience in commodity sales or petroleum related field.
