SUMMARY: An intern is needed to assist with research and technical support at Energetics. The candidate will assist with a variety of tasks supporting Energetics’ clients in the areas of data collection, management, and analysis; research; information synthesis for report and presentation development; and providing general assistance for technology/strategy deployment and evaluation activities. The candidate shall assist in the preparation of materials designed to educate or inform stakeholders including Federal government, state agency, and local municipality staff. Most task assignments shall originate in the areas of climate, resilience, and sustainable energy strategies. Qualified candidates will be juniors or senior undergraduates with a pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, policy, or a technical field.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Provide research and analytical support for climate, resilience, and other strategic projects

Evaluate technical and economic feasibility and market trends of advanced technologies

Assist with GIS analysis of specific community areas related to climate and resilience

Use and/or develop computer tools to facilitate research and analysis tasks

Review technical reports, compile technical information, and develop other written materials as requested


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in an environmental, science, or technical field from an accredited university

Interest in energy efficiency and clean energy with specific emphasis on transportation technologies such as: alternative fuels, vehicle electrification, autonomous vehicles and vehicle-miles-traveled (VMT) reduction strategies.

Strong technical and analytical capabilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel

Good communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written)

Good organization and time management skills

Successful when working on self-managed tasks

Ability to work within a diverse team

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university

Data analytics and visualization experience (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)

Geographical Information System (GIS) program use and results analysis
