P/T Recreation Leader

Recreation Leaders assist in recreation and community service programs in connection with our many facilities including, but not limited to our: Performing Arts Centre, Pools, Tennis Courts, Clubhouses, and outdoor event areas. 

Work schedule is part-time and semi-flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Event set-up, break-down, and clean up
• Develops and coordinates recreational activities, programs, and classes
• Monitors events and activities to ensure safety and compliance with rules
• Collects fees for reservations, classes, and activities
• Provides excellent customer service to our residents
• Provides basic custodial services
• Opens and closes facilities as scheduled
• Light office duty, data entry, research, report generating, filing, etc.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience working in a customer facing environment or with frequent contact with public
• Knowledge of modern office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to regularly exert heavy physical effort
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50lbs, and occasionally 100lbs
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to read and interpret diagram sketches
