The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a Truck Helper/Warehouse Worker position for the Kentucky - Tennessee Territory, located in Bristol, TN.

Job Summary:

Assists in picking up donations by riding in a Salvation Army truck and lifting, carrying, and/or hauling donations into the truck and unloading the same at the warehouse; Assists in maintaining the vehicle in proper working order and in compliance with established standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers

Ability to work with people clients, customers, and employees

To aid in a calm, courteous, and tactful manner

Must meet all DOT requirements for vehicles associated with this position all times

Education and Experience:

No formal education or experience is required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements

Ability to arrive on time for all scheduled shifts

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language

Ability to read and follow a map and/or handwritten directions

Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects

Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing
