Camp Head Dining Hall Attendant - Camp Hoblitzelle
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Dining Hall Supervisor for Camp Hoblitzelle's Summer Camp program located in Midlothian, Texas.
Job Summary
Plans, coordinates, supervises and evaluates the day-to-day operations of the camp dining hall; ensures the dining hall operates in compliance with health standards and regulations; supervises, schedules, evaluates, and participates in the work of dining hall personnel including the Camp Dining Room Attendants, Camp Dishwashers and Camp Kitchen Assistants.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles and practices of food preparation and management. Knowledge of current health and safety laws and practices related to food service. Knowledge of proper cooking methods and procedures. Knowledge of meal planning techniques. Knowledge of acceptable food storage and cleaning techniques.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D., and Two years progressively responsible experience in food service management with at least six months experience in a supervisory capacity preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Certifications CPR and First Aid Certification
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Some physical requirements of the Camp Dining Hall Supervisor position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate dining hall equipment and activities are required. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.

The 2023 Summer Camp Program will be held June 4, 2023 to July 23, 2023
Compensation is $54.16 a day or $325.00 for an entire worked week
Camp Hoblitzelle is a Residential Camp
