Warehouse Supervisor- Richmond KY
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Warehouse Supervisor for the Kentucky - Tennessee Territory, located in, Richmond, Kentucky.
Job Summary:
Supervises and participates in the work performed by employees; ensures that all donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; ensures the thrift store remains adequately stocked.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of effective and efficient warehouse operations. Ability to lead, motivate and evaluate the work of co-workers. Ability to sort and determine the suitability of donated item. Ability to prepare accurate and complete inventory and statistical records. Ability to ensure the warehouse area and equipment are maintained in a neat, orderly, and secure manner. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with donors and Center staff. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public,to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Employees in the position must meet all DOT requirements for vehicles always associated with this position.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, And three years experience performing warehouse work with at least six months experience in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements/Working Condition:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull (less than25lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.
