The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for Part Time Youth Development Professionals for the Charlotte Area Command, Boys & Girls Club in Union Cty.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting Unit Director/Director of Operations management.  Must present yourself as a positive individual.  Assist in developing youth programs.  Responsible for presenting a positive image of The Salvation Army and its programs to the community, to funding sources, and to other agencies within the area at all times.

Knowledge and Skills

Have the ability to write and speak the English language.

Keyboarding and typing skills ability. 

Ability to work well with children

Have good telephone communication ability. 

Ability to organize work priorities.

 Ability to meet job attendance requirements as designated. 

Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army. 

Must be capable of understanding and interpreting the mission of The Salvation Army and its shelter programs.  Ability to communicate effectively with other people.

Education and Experience

Must possess a High School Diploma or GED certificate with one year’s experience working with youth.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid State Driver's License (Must meet MVR requirements)
