Position Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Graphic Designer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for producing a wide range of artwork including packaging for national & private-label brands, product content & lifestyle images for online retailers along with marketing collateral.

Responsibilities

Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed.  Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.

 

§  Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, project managers, and product teams to better understand and execute packaging & marketing projects

§  Work within packaging design templates and create work that is visually appealing, functional, and meets industry standards for printing and production

§  Produce detailed press-ready artwork for packaging and labeling, including product specifications and legal compliance

§  Create both physical and digital mockups to test and refine packaging designs, incorporating feedback from stakeholders  

§  Produce high-quality product images that are visually appealing, accurately represent the product, and meet the specifications of the online retailers' platforms

§  Provide image retouching, clipping paths, color adjustments, and advanced image manipulation including placing images into stock photography in order to deliver photorealistic final files

§  Color forecasting and trend research is a plus but not required

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to this role is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of graphic design principles including composition, visual layout, typography, color theory, and branding principles in both web and print deliverables
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, MacOS including Gmail, Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple projects with multiple teams simultaneously, provide open communication, and prioritize deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn specialized software and in-house systems in order to complete work assignments; including Project Management and DAM systems
  • Maintain organized file construction and archives in order to support the entire team's productivity
  • Support other team members and collaborate well with different personality types
  • Capable of identifying and solving problems proactively while asking for help when needed
  • Comfortable following complex processes with an eye for consistency and  accuracy
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • And finally, you take pride in your work but can graciously receive constructive feedback
