Savage Services is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor for our location in Hayden, CO.  In this role, your primary responsibilities include: managing CMMS reporting, scheduling, and recording for fleet assets, managing parts inventory and purchasing, performing scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on fixed and rotating mechanical equipment, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems, completing miscellaneous facility maintenance activities, and supporting the Operations Manager in delivering first-class maintenance. Our facility infrastructure includes several conveyor systems, yellow equipment, pickup trucks, and other industrial equipment.

What you will be doing:

  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to organize/record maintenance work, warranty records
  • Coordinate and maintain parts purchasing and inventory
  • Coordinate repairs/ preventative maintenance with 3rd party contractors.
  • Complete scheduled preventative and unscheduled corrective maintenance activities on fixed/mobile mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems as they arise and repair or replace as needed. Troubleshoot conveyor, rotating equipment, and mechanical problems within the facility equipment and repair or replace as needed
  • Perform tasks such as removal, installation, alignment, leveling, and coupling of rotating equipment, as well as miscellaneous facility maintenance activities
  • Operation of heavy equipment in support of coal and ash operations as needed.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with other individuals within the maintenance team as well as those outside of the maintenance department, including operations team members, electrical personnel, coordinators, and management to ensure the overall success of the operation

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Prefer two plus years of previous experience as a maintenance Mechanic 
  • Verifiable mechanic experience in material handling operations.  Electrical understanding a plus.
  • Understand mechanical drawings, preventative maintenance practices, and sequence of operation a plus
  • Must possess an understanding of typical mechanical and electrical equipment used in the movement of material by crane, conveyors, and yellow equipment
  • Must be able to work in adverse conditions (heat and cold); time is split between a shop and outdoor environment
  • Must be physically able to handle heavy parts and pieces of equipment
