JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Project Manager to help our engineering team in the planning, execution, and delivery of our complex engineering projects. As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects from conception to completion while ensuring the quality, budget, and timeline of the project. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services.



 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Maintain and update as the Mobile Capital Project Management System as needed
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in support of business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Manage project risks and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Monitor project progress and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and provide regular progress reports
  • Ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Oversee and coordinate contractors
  • Determine if performance guarantees by vendors for equipment/designs are met
  • Ensure compliance with engineering, regulatory, and company standards
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders including but not limited to department superintendents
  • Help motivate the engineering team to achieve project objectives
  • Provide mentoring to team members

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Competencies and Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering project management experience
  • Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to participate in a safety-oriented work culture

 

Preferred:

  • 5 years of experience managing projects for large industrial customers
  • Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • MS Project
  • SAP
  • AutoCAD

 

 

Education

Required:         BS degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely-related technical field
