SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for supporting progressive Human Resources systems, initiatives, and processes in the areas of recruitment/selection and onboarding.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process, sourcing, building relationships with hiring managers, candidates and external recruiting agencies, creating positive interview experiences and managing offer process with the respective business units.
  • Facilitate the hiring process with supervisors to include recruitment and team selection activities, wage negotiations, communications, etc.
  • Act as the conduit between hiring managers and outside recruitment agencies.
  • Provide hiring managers with weekly reports on respective recruiting status.
  • Be a strategic business partner to the hiring managers and HR team by providing compensation advice, market insights and develop strategies to attract the best talent.
  • Arrange interviews as needed.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.
  • Develop creative recruiting sourcing strategies and proactively build a robust pipeline of diverse talent through research, social media, cold calls, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns to accomplish hiring goals.
  • Communicate and track offers/rejections among all relevant management.
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant work experience and education required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on an corporate recruiting team.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years recruiting experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • AIRS, CIR, ACIR, CDR, CSSR, PRC, CSMR or CMVR certifications a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills; ability to persuade and advise hiring managers on recruiting best practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Knowledge of ATS tools.
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ability to work in a highly confidential environment.
  • Able to effectively prioritize, manage multiple projects and execute tasks/activities in a high-pressure environment.

  • Sound judgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult, decisions.
  • Onboarding and new hire experience, implementing and delivering.
