Help SkyWater develop and protect national security. Materials Security Technicians are responsible for handling, processing, and transporting the nation’s premier technology.
As a Materials Security Technician, you serve on the front lines and are critical to the success and growth of the company. Day to day responsibilities might look something like this:
• Operate assigned machines in a cleanroom environment.
• Load and unload wafer production machines (microchips).
• Follow detailed instructions to ensure correct procedures are completed.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products.
• Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration, Empowerment, and Growth Mindset.
• Coordinate the movement of classified material on the fabrication floor
• Receive and process classified materials on production tools
• Maintain line of site with materials at all times of processing
• Restocking of consumables related to production equipment
• Basic SMIF POD maintenance including but not limited to battery changes, reprograming, housing repair/replacement
• Basic use of logistics software used to identify materials, tools, recipes etc. Shift: C shift: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday 6:00 am to 6:15 pm
Minimum Qualifications:
• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• The willingness and desire to learn and grow.
• Must be a US Citizen willing to pursue/possess a security clearance.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Ability to repetitively lift up to 12 pounds.
- Work in a cleanroom environment wearing full personal protective equipment attire
- Stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
