We are hiring Inside Sales Professionals to increase the growth rate of the Company's Fleet business. We are looking for someone to play a critical role in this growth.


Position Overview:


As an Inside Sales Representative at Rand McNally, you will have a crucial role in advancing all sales initiatives for our solutions. Our solutions include services for real-time GPS tracking, asset monitoring, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and other Rand McNally technology. All of this technology is driven by our core Rand One SaaS platform. Your main duty will involve connecting with potential clients, comprehending their requirements, and helping them discover whether or not Rand McNally’s offerings are a good fit for them. Ultimately, this is a sales position and we are looking for a person who loves to sell.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Rand McNally's products and services as well as staying up-to-date with product updates and improvements.

  • Identify and target potential customers within the designated market segment through research, online platforms, and other lead generation methods.

  • Initiate contact with prospective clients, engaging in consultative conversations to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives. Tailor product recommendations and solutions to address specific customer requirements.

  • Conduct compelling and informative product presentations to demonstrate the value of Rand McNally's offerings, emphasizing how they can meet the unique needs of each customer.

  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to customize solutions based on customer feedback and requirements, ensuring a tailored fit for their business operations.

  • Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes based on customer requirements, considering pricing guidelines and negotiation strategies.

  • Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline using CRM tools, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities. Regularly update pipeline data to provide accurate forecasts to the management team.

  • Close sales with new opportunities as quickly as possible.

  • Assure that all leads are followed up with whether self-generated or provided by other sources, such as but not limited to, Marketing efforts, Website, social media, and Tradeshows.

  • Provide feedback to our Marketing team regarding these leads to assure we continue to refine our Marketing efforts.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the fleet management and related sectors. Use this knowledge to enhance your sales approach and contribute to product development discussions.

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and targets by consistently closing deals and generating revenue.


Qualifications and Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in inside sales, preferably in technology or fleet management solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and credibility over the phone and through virtual interactions.

  • Technically inclined with the ability to understand and explain complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities.

  • Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address customer challenges effectively.

  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and evolving product offerings.

  • Knowledge of the fleet management, transportation, or logistics industries is a plus.
