Job Summary:
The Clinical Director of Behavioral Services RTF and ITP oversees clinical operations involving behavioral treatments in the residential units for the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) and Intensive Treatment Program (ITP), with oversight of the behavioral treatment of the residents.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Oversight of the behavioral directions and practices in the RTF and ITP, including team meetings, daily debriefs, multi-disciplinary meetings, family concerns, and supports to clients.
  • Provide direction to all staff regarding clinical issues, involving behavioral concerns, that affect treatment planning for clients.
  • Coordination and monitoring of youth’s ICSP, behavior protocols, functional behavioral assessments, and function based behavior plans.
  • Oversight of eCR as it relates to ICSPs and behavior plans.
  • Intake coordination and screening new clients.
  • Supervision of Behavior Support Assistant (RTF and ITP), Behavior Support Technicians (RTF), Speech Language Pathologist (ITP), and Occupational Therapist (ITP).
  • Hiring, scheduling, and coordinating clinical staff responsibilities, monitors clinical staff in duties/competencies, conducts annual performance appraisals.
  • Coordination of clinical training needs, monitoring needs, and establishing opportunities.
  • Nurture and maintain effective working relationships with internal (Director and all RTF and ITP staff) and external stakeholders (OMH and OPWDD Central and WNY Field Office Liaisons)
  • Any other duty as assigned by your Supervisor.

Skills:
  • Computer
  • Clinical knowledge of trauma informed care and applied behavior analysis

Minimum Education Required:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field
Minimum Experience Required:
  • 3-5 years of experience working with youth with mental health concerns, autism spectrum disorder, and/or intellectual disabilities and their families
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
License/Registration/Certifications Required:
  • BCBA, preferred LBA
  • Certified Trainer (agency will assist with becoming a trainer) in 2 of the 3 below curriculums:
  • Risking Connections
  • Ukeru
  • SCIP-R
Training Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
  • The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions.
  • The constant physical demand of the position is sitting.
  • The frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking, climbing, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
