Position Overview
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Educational Financial Services, is seeking an individual for a part-time accountant position. It requires 24 hours per week over 4 days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The part-time High School Accountant will review receivables, handle cash receipts and disbursements, reconcile bank accounts, prepare and review financial statements, and assist the central office in the budget and audit processes.  This position will also coordinate payroll/benefits and related issues for school personnel.  

Qualifications: 
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with two (2) years’ experience desired.
• Experience in accounting systems preferred, Word and Excel are required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. Must have the executive presence to maintain the confidence of the school’s board.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.  Must be able to keep confidentiality when required.
• PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software applications is preferred. 

This is a part time position 24 hours per week with single benefits package. 

The intent of this job description is to provide the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of this position. Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
