Store Visuals - Visual Coordinator

VISUAL COORDINATOR | JOB DESCRIPTION 

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, the Visual Coordinator is responsible for setting and maintaining the overall merchandising vision across all Magnolia retail and food entities. This position coaches and trains others on merchandising techniques and visual standards at all levels. The Visual Coordinator is highly detail-oriented and able to take direction and feedback for use in learning and growing. This person enjoys a fast-paced and constantly changing environment and can adapt to a variety of situations with a professional attitude. This position works from the Silos Grounds in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Visual Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values 
• Implement merchandise changes given by the Visual Manager 
• Suggest and implement merchandise changes based on product flow and on hand inventory levels 
• Maintain merchandising to the highest standards and support peers as needed 
• Coach and train Retail Specialists to ensure all standards are being maintained to the highest level 
• Utilize NetSuite to procure product needed to maintain visual stock levels and new displays 
• Maintain photo library on OneDrive with original installation pictures and update RF Smart photos to ensure visual accuracy for Retail Store Teams 
• Utilize knowledge of Magnolia business and guest needs to enhance guest experience and increase sales 
• Attend all after-hours visual installations 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

 
QUALIFICATIONS 

• Soft skills: Strong verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly, problem solving, adaptable, ability to facilitate training 
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred 
• Experience: 1 year of visual merchandising work experience preferred
• General availability: Must be available to work weekends, nights, and some holidays, attend all after hour installations 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
