FACILITY SUSTAINMENT PROJECT ENGINEER
Segra is searching for a FACILITY SUSTAINMENT PROJECT ENGINEER who is excited by considerably difficult technical tasks that include analyzing, evaluating, designing, planning, or modifying all facets of telecommunication facilities and equipment. This role requires skills to fully engineer design and maintain critical systems supporting Transport, Data and Voice telecom components.
The successful candidate will possess a 4-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent training with a minimum of 3 years of experience with demonstrated experience in telecommunications HVAC, DC Battery Plants, critical UPS systems, generators and alarm management design and deployment.
Other qualifications and requirements:
- Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects
- Must possess a strong work ethic in supporting customer needs as well as internal personnel, responding promptly and consistently
- Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry facilities management and support as it relates to AC/DC power, HVAC, generators and transfer switching gear.
- Knowledge of engineering and electronic principles
- Skills in defining, evaluating, and solving engineering problems and communicating technical issues to both technical and non-technical
- Analyzing a technical system or design into component parts
- Organize and maintain engineering files.
- Ability to manage vendors, suppliers and internal resources to keep projects on budget and on time.
- Demonstrate clear, informative, persuasive and collaborative verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel is required
