Sports Reporter

The Southern Illinoisan is looking for a full-time Sports Reporter to produce high-quality content with an emphasis on enterprise and high-engagement sports journalism.

This reporter should be comfortable writing clean copy on deadline, shooting photos, and capturing post-game interviews on video.  They should also seek out compelling feature stories on coaches and athletes while using analytics to guide coverage and continually grow our audience.  The ideal candidate will work closely with editors and colleagues to develop material for our sports audience channels and other initiatives.
