Program Supervisor - West Valley (Surprise) - Housing Assistance Center

New Leaf’s West Valley Housing Assistance Center located in Surprise will offer emergency housing in 7 apartment-style units to families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Hourly Pay Rate: $21
Location: Surprise, AZ
Schedule: Weekends required other days of the week can be flexible to meet program need and to cover all shifts
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate program Case Managers to meet program needs, fully utilizing the skills of the most qualified people available. Goals must be set which encourage ongoing professional growth and demand that high performance standards of the agency are met.
- Responsible for the overall operations of the program to include maintaining physical plant according to agency, licensing and/or contractual requirements, ensuring appropriate and effective client care/services. Schedules and monitors staff workload. Actively participates in Quality Management.
- Effectively communicate program progress, activities and needs both verbally and through informal/formal report writing.
- Building camaraderie through effective problem solving. Ensure information and communications are accurate and present a proper representation of A NEW LEAF.
- Establish working relationships with the Human Resources, Philanthropy, Operations and Accounting Department assuring deadlines are met with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates the ability to implement and manage organizational changes through a team approach, promotes a sense of shared ownership and a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of the program’s purpose and goals, identifying and allocating resources that support the purpose and goals of the program.
- Report to the Director of Shelter Services in a timely manner any areas of concern.
- Understand and review the monthly budget with the Director of Shelter Services.
- Submit a weekly written report to the Director of Shelter Services in which are detailed client census, condition of physical plant, unusual situations with clients and/or staff, problems, scheduled intakes, scheduled reports, medical reports, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Plus 0-1 years of supervisory experience required
Experience:
- 1-2 years experience
Compliance/Requirements:
- Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- Current Auto Liability Insurance
- 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
- Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
