Santa Cruz Monterey Bay KOA 2023 RECREATION TEAM MEMBER

Love beach style camping and the outdoors? Join our team! We're located 1 mile from Manresa State Beach and 15 miles from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk with restaurants, shopping and beach recreation.

We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our recreation team with a focus on our food service component for breakfast, socials, special events and pizza/wings.

REPORTS TO

Recreation Director, Campground Manager, and/or Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for conducting and leading recreation activities such as arts and crafts, games, social activities, and themed weekends.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Be knowledgeable of all planned activities and instructions for participation.
• Assist with set-up, tear-down and clean-up of activity.
• Greet guests & encourage participation.
• Explain activity, techniques and safety procedures.
• Assist guests with activity when needed and answer questions.
• Promote an atmosphere of fun!

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly by speaking so others will understand.
• Ability to listen and understand information and directions.
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Must speak the English language fluently.
• Aptitude for working with adults, children, and a variety of personalities.
• Capable of providing customer service with a fun, friendly attitude and a smile.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• General knowledge of computer and cash register operation.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift & carry 10 pounds on a regular basis & up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Long periods of standing (50% of the time), bending and kneeling
• Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
• Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions
