Optical Team Member (Entry-level) - 20/20 Eyecare

General Job Description & Responsibilities

Are you interested in starting a career in Healthcare or the Optical Intustry? 20/20 Eyecare is looking for Optical Team Members, both front end to assist in optical sales and Patient Customer Service, and back end to assist the doctor, pre-test patients, and dispense eyewear products. Our primary responsability is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. Primary responsibilities include:

• Greet patients, check them in and out of their appointments, verify insurance benefits
• Take office calls and help schedule appointments
• Confirm medical history and pre-test patients before thy see the doctor
• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Assist patients in selecting glasses frames and place their orders
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear

Experience & Skills

Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will have:

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Coachable-open to feedback and continual improvement
• Flexible and adaptable
• Professional phone and office etiquette required
• Medical clinic experience is preferred but not necessary-we will train the right person

Pay rate: 17+
