Iteris is looking for an Administrative Assistant that serves as an office assistant by performing administrative duties, clerical support, and report production (including technical editing).



What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate with property management and vendors related to building maintenance, cleaning and alarm system
  • Track and order office supplies
  • Plan office events
  • Assist all staff in maintaining technical membership
  • Assist with Fleet Management
  • Assist with on boarding new staff
  • Keep track of staff whereabouts with a tracker
  • Keep track of and organize office machine maintenance and keep breakroom stocked
  • Perform various administrative functions including word processing, filing, and maintaining records
  • Answer phones, emails, and other inquiries directed to the company; respond to clients in a professional and timely manner
  • Greet and direct clients, guests and prospective staff
  • Maintain phone, email, employee certification and other office wide lists
  • Provide general support to management
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Perform technical report review and assembly
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write user guides, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Other duties as assigned


What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Ability to use Google Docs/Sheets/Calendar
  • Demonstrate effective, clear and businesslike written and oral communications; including solid editing, proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Administration experience
  • Excellent Customer Service experience
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills
  • Great verbal and written communication
  • Experience carrying out duties when faced with interruptions, distractions and a fluctuating workload
  • Dependable
  • People-oriented
  • Adaptable/flexible
  • Autonomous/Independent; enjoys working with little direction
  • Reliable Transportation

 

Iteris anticipates paying between $18.00 and $20.00 for this role. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
