SHIPPING YARD RIGGER

Job Title: Yard Rigger                                Department: Shipping

Reports To: Shipping Supervisor        Effective Date: 05/02/2022 

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:
 

We are looking for an experienced Rigger to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and securely rigging precast concrete panels to trailers for shipping to construction sites.\
 

Required Skills/Abilities:

·    Ability to work from ladders and various heights in an outdoor environment

·    Must have experience rigging concrete to trailers and ensuring that rigging is correct and panels are properly secured for transport.

·    Must be able to use a variety of tools, including but not limited to: staple gun, brad nailer, hammer, measuring tape

·    Maintain good housekeeping and follows Gate Precast safety policies and procedures at all times.

·    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

·    Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

·    Willingness and ability to work as a team player

·    Perform additional duties as requested or required.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent

Precast experience preferred

Construction experience preferred
 

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, reach, climb stairs, squat, grasp, and twist for extended periods
This is an outdoor work environment: Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, rain, sand, and dust.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as 6" leather work boots, hard hat, work gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, rain gear, fall protection
