Reporting to the VP Inforce Reinsurance Actuary, the successful applicant will execute and provide support for Inforce Management initiatives involving a wide range of Life, A&H, and Annuity products. The responsibilities of this position include the review and analysis of reinsurance settlements and financial reporting. The responsibilities of this position also include the development and analysis of liability key performance indicators and the management of non-guaranteed elements. This individual will be an integral member of the Inforce Management team. This role will be based in our Bermuda office.


What You Will Do:

 

  • Design a control framework for reinsurance settlement review processes associated with newly acquired blocks of business
  • Provide analysis for recurring reinsurance settlement statements and financial reporting
  • Provide analysis for recurring reinsurance settlement statements and financial reporting
  • Develop, report, and provide analysis for key performance indicators and communicate results to key stakeholders
  • Manage, monitor, review, and report on non-guaranteed elements
  • Support the evaluation and integration of newly acquired blocks of business
  • Develop reports for communication with senior management
  • Implement process improvement and automation through use of data integration, analytics, and visualizations
  • Execute on various ad hoc projects and key initiatives

 

What You Will Have:

  • 7+ years of progressively more responsible experience in the insurance industry
  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • Actuarial, finance, or other professional designation is desirable
  • Deep insurance product level knowledge
  • Demonstrated success working in cross-functional collaborative teams and in working with senior management
  • Highly motivated, results- and goal-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and with a high level of discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and data analytics software


The base salary range for this role is $155,000-$185,000 and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
