Accounting - Assistant Director of Finance
Assist the Director of Finance in the supervision of the Finance office and with various projects. Ensure the financial reporting requirements are completed in accordance with both company and brand standards of quality and performance. Will be responsible for but not limited to;
Manage and direct the performance of the finance staff, to include team member relations, meetings, disciplinary action, and special projects. Ensure staff is motivated and trained to adequately perform at the expected level. Direct responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable, income audit, general cashier.
Assist in preparing annaul budget
Review and approve all ledger account reconciliations to include; bank statements, assets liabilities and credit cards. Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy. Monitor coding of cash receipts.
Assist Director of Finance in internal daily audits of cash deposits, transfers and
the preparation/monitoring of the Capital budget. Prepare financial reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Review and approve tax returns to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Prepare the utilities accruals monthly. Monitor records of inventory to control accuracy of supply distribution. Ensure corporate compliance with all billing and credit standards.
Monitor, approve and prepare daily payroll accounts. Assist with the month-end or year-end closing procedures. Assist the Finance office in any other administrative duties as needed. Perform other special projects as assigned by the General Manager, Director of Finance and Corporate Finance. Audit maintenance of payroll records. Assist with presentation during meetings, property reviews and owner meetings. Ability to work with owners on financial responsibilities.

Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken.
Ability to work in tandem with corporate and ownership in presentation of hotels financials. Ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts projections
Basic understanding of complex computerized financial systems. Experience with Profit Sage/SWORD system preferred.
Expert knowledge of various computer programs, such as Word and Excel.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to effectively deal with guest and team members concerns in a friendly and positive manner, listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer/team member and providing positive and proactive solutions.
Knowledge of General Accounting Principals - 11th Edition
Previous Hilton Brand experience preferred
