Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist
Job Purpose: Support environmental, health and safety activities that promote a safe and productive work environment for the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform duties in support of the Environmental Compliance and Safety department to include use of computers and data entry
- Assist with safety audits, safety equipment inspections and the organization/tracking of chemical and waste inventories
- Assist with environmental program audits, inspections and recordkeeping
- Perform aircraft fuel quality inspections
- Remain available to respond to emergencies while performing routine inspections and other relevant tasking
- Responsible for promoting safety and enforce safety standards by acting and advising on all matters relating to the protection of life and property from fire and other risks
- Responds to fire alarms and emergencies and act prevent bodily injury and damage to assets
- Performs basic first aid and First Responder duties
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally to move objects
- OSHA 30 preferred or able to acquire within 90 days
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
