Serving the Carolinas, TSE is committed to making the greater Charlotte metro area the premier destination for sports and entertainment in the region. Bank of America Stadium hosted 39 events in 2022 that attracted diverse audiences interested in the NFL, MLS, concerts and college football games. In addition to being a top sports and entertainment venue, Bank of America Stadium is a community asset. The stadium served as an early voting site in 2020 and 2022, and as a mass vaccination site in 2021.


Position Summary

The Communications Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the corporate communications function focusing on business operations, football, soccer and stadium operations in all efforts to relay information to fans, the media, partners (corporate and community), and employees.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Support creation of a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials
  • Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand
  • Provide communications support for all TSE teams and Bank of America Stadium, including internal and external audiences
  • Create a calendar of events and identify opportunities to enhance overall communications internally and externally
  • Contribute to the information flow between sports teams operations and business operations
  • Serves as a liaison with PR, community relations, HR, digital and marketing internal departments across the organization
  • Produce daily news reports, monitor and track media coverage
  • Develop communications-related reports and monitor social listening tools and other analytics on an as-needed basis
  • Other duties assigned as necessary


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, sports management, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in sports public relations/communications or related field
  • Must be willing to travel, including on occasion, internationally
  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings and/or weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must pass pre-employment screens


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the sports, PR, digital, entertainment industry


Essential Functions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of contacts
  • Punctuality, accountability, and keen attention to detail in each duty
  • Discretion and trustworthiness related to sensitive material
  • Ability to work independently and in a group, and handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to react quickly and positively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information with care and with sensitivity
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment 
  • Lift at least 20 pounds


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outside in stadium facility environments. Candidate must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.  Additionally, candidate must be willing to work remotely as assigned by management and based on current business needs.
