Paid APEX Intern- Part Time

Job Description

Legacy Behavioral Health Services is offering PAID 600 hour APEX therapist internship opportunities. APEX interns will work as part of the Apex Program which is an extension of therapy services within the school systems we serve, providing individual and family sessions within the school setting. Apex Therapists and Interns work closely with school counselors, social workers, teachers, and administration staff to wrap around the student to help them succeed. We work closely with the Legacy clinic staff to have appointments scheduled with both the nurse and doctor and provide this information to the families and schools as needed.  This position requires:

• Current graduate student pursuing a qualifying Master’s Degree in MFT, Psychology, or Social Work
• Willing to complete a service agreement after graduation.
• Someone who is dedicated to quality work
• Someone who is a self-starter and goal orientated
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork
• Computer experience

 Working Conditions:

Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines and deal with routine and crisis situations. May have extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing. Requires varying hours of duty to provide monitoring, educational and/or crisis handling, as well as travel to off-campus locations in LBHS or personal vehicle.
