Position description

Senior Director of Fiscal Services (Controller) opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill the Senior Director of Fiscal Services (Controller) roleUnder the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Director of Fiscal Services directs the accounting and fiscal activities of the hospital; responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the operations of the hospital; monitors and develops the hospital budget process; supervises and manages accounts payable and payroll services.  This position organizes, supervises, and participates in the accounting and fiscal management record and reporting functions; performs responsible and technical tasks pertaining to specialized accounting processes. The successful candidate will have the ability to see beyond the immediate challenge, seek out system and process improvements, find and implement solutions as opportunities present to help the Hospital achieve both it short and long-term goals.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Licensures, Certifications, Registrations:  CPA or Masters in Accounting Preferred
  • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  General Accounting with Healthcare experience, experience with Montana healthcare environment desired
  • Experience: Management experience required

 

Schedule:  Full-time, 40 hours/week

Bitterroot Health is comprised of a critical access hospital and 13 outpatient clinics.  The hospital provides on call coverage of Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Neurosurgery.  Other services provided within the organization include Primary Care, Urgent Care, Interventional Pain, Dermatology, non-interventional Cardiology, ophthalmology, pain medicine, and ENT.  In 2021 Bitterroot Health was recognized by the LOWN institute as the number one critical access hospital in Montana and the number four hospital in the United States based on overall social responsibility.  The organization employs nearly 700 staff and provides services throughout the Bitterroot Valley with services offered in Darby, Hamilton, Corvallis, Victor, and Stevensville.
