Pay: $27- 30/hour

**this position is on-site at our new Retail Store in Palo Alto, set to open May 2023. 

The Assistant Retail Store Manager helps maintain a profitable store that offers an incredible guest experience. You will work with all members of the retail store team to maintain customer service standards by supervising the Retail Store Gearhead team, managing inventory, visual merchandising and ordering, all while ensuring the store hits metrics for sales and profitability. ASM / Visual Lead additionally supports the operations of the store with an emphasized merchandising accountability on creating a positive and inspiring visual experience for the customer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Challenges and inspires the team to elevate every aspect of the store experience through
  • service, merchandising and standards to create a compelling environment for the customer.
  • Supports new initiatives to evolve the retail experience for the customer, drive sales and provide an engaging and positive experience for each customer.
  • Oversees placement of product, mannequin styling, and execution of in-store displays and marketing.
  • Sets clear objectives and expectations with the team to drive a consistent store experience and ensure excellent operational and visual standards are upheld at all times.
  • Ensure loss prevention standards are in place at all times
  • Provide coaching & feedback to Retail Store Gearheads
  • Encourages and demonstrates adaptability; positively effecting change and enabling the team to successfully execute tasks.
  • Manages visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations and timelines.
  • Utilizes reporting tools to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels.
  • Submits store photos to highlight merchandising and display updates. 
     
EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years store visual merchandising and leadership experience
  • Strong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for multiple audiences including employees and customers
  • Knowledge of the gear we sell
  • Proficient with Computers and Software products including MS Office products
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, rapidly evolving environment
  • Assist General Manager in creating an efficient and effective schedule
  • Assist with onboarding new staff
  • Coaching and developing team and individuals on expectations
  • Assists customers in times of increased store traffic
  • Run daily metrics and lead sales floor to impact team and performance
  • Manage back of house logistics, receipts and organization of inventory
