Special Education Teacher - Green Acres Preschool

The Arc Erie County New York has been supporting children and adults with disabilities, and their families in achieving their desired quality of life by creating opportunities through comprehensive services for over 65 years.

The Arc Erie County is currently seeking Special Education Teacher for its Preschool program located in Tonawanda, NY.  Why Achieve with The Arc Erie County?  Becoming a Special Education Teacher at our Green Acres Preschool for us means:

• Assessing & prescribing appropriate educational and behavioral objectives for each child
   
• With other teaching specialists, assessing & monitoring individual social & personal needs of children to assure that each child is receiving all necessary services.
   
• Participating with Team members in assuring continuity between the educational & home environments.
   
• Supervising teacher aides & assistants in implementing individual objectives.
   

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education plus a Permanent/Professional New York State Certification in Special Education OR a Provisional/Initial New York State Certification in Special Education
 

Preferred Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Special Education plus a Permanent/Professional New York State Certification in Special Education OR a Provisional/Initial New York State Certification in Special Education
