As a leading insurance marketing organization, Senior Market Sales, Inc. (SMS) has an immediate need in our Omaha location for a highly motivated, dynamic, self-starting Business Systems Analyst who will be responsible for working to identify, evaluate, develop, and implement solutions to meet business requirements for SMS.
This position will work in a fun, fast paced, family environment. The selected candidate will partner with our business and IT staff to define and manage application implementations, elicit and capture end-user requirements and translate them into clear user stories, screen mockups and wireframes, assist in integration and acceptance testing, support the development of training and implementation material, participate in solution implementation and provide post-implementation support. The selected candidate will also suggest new and innovative ways to improve workflow, process efficiencies, internal reporting capabilities and document business processes. Candidate must be able to understand and articulate business needs to those with or without an IT background.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Analyze business needs, develop business requirement documents, wireframes, system design specifications and planning documents for internal business units
- Review designs and test plans where applicable
- Coordinate and manage relationships with key internal partners, external partners and vendors
- Work with business units to specify priorities
- Work with leaders and fellow staff members to ensure efficient workflow in the use of the Senior Market Sales applications and processes
- Test solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy and accessibility of data
- Work collaboratively with staff to advance the values and mission of Senior Market Sales, Inc. by participating in and attending appropriate management and administration meetings and provide strategic, policy and operational input
Qualifications:
- Work independently in a fast paced, fun, family focused environment
- Data analysis and interpretive skills are required including the ability to utilize data analysis/tools to help identify and implement process improvement solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication, relationship building skills, and presentation skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving and decision making abilities
- Creativity, diplomacy, sound judgment and initiative are important
- Ability to understand and write proficient SQL queries is preferred
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) is preferred
- Working knowledge of insurance services, industries, and product lines preferred Knowledge of Agency Management Systems, CRM technology, Compensation and Incentive technology, Imaging/Document Repository, Quality Assurance Testing solutions and/or Business Intelligence systems considered a plus
- Knowledgeable with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and able to work with developers to document accordingly is preferred
- Knowledge of IT industry procedures, practices and terminology including data processing system and application design methods, techniques and standards
- Knowledge of program and project management practices including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field OR 4+ years relevant experience required
- Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language is required
