Albright College is accepting applications for a full-time (10 month) Shuttle Bus Driver. Responsibilities include the safe and timely operation of vehicles which transport students, faculty and staff between various points of the college community and other designated locations. Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with passenger endorsement and two years’ experience as a driver. Must be able to meet the needs of and communicate with large groups of diverse people. This requires effective customer service techniques.

Essential Functions:

1.Provide on-campus shuttle services for students traveling to main campus as needed.

2.Provide off-campus shuttle service for students to the Albright College Child Development Center and other locations as needed.

3.Provide transportation for special guests, trustees, and others as needed.

4.Assist Public Safety staff at special functions as needed.

5.Assist in maintaining the maintenance of shuttle vans driven as needed.

6.Assist other full-time staff in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students and staff.

7.Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Prerequisites:

1.COMMUNICATION

a.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

b.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

2.SKILLS

a.Service Oriented.

b.High level of confidentiality and reliability.

c.Must be able to work varied hours if needed.

d.Trustworthy and dependable.

e.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

f.Ability to handle multiple tasks.

3.EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

a.Experience preferred

4.EDUCATION

a.High school diploma or equivalent.

5.LICENSES

a.Must have a current and valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

b.Must have a driving record free of numerous violations.
